Eileen P. Goldenberg Encaustic on Panel Eileen P. Goldenberg is more than an artist. She is an artist fully immersed in her craft. Serving as President of the Board of Directors for International Encaustic Artists, moderating panel discussions for the First National Encaustic Conference and lecturing at several future conferences one might wonder how Goldenberg finds time to paint. This immersion has allowed for a thorough understanding of her medium, which is on display in every painting. Her meditative process of application and deduction serves to include the viewer in a dialogue where boundaries are soft and the artist’s painterly rhythm can be observed. With these observation the viewer will see the razor thin lines of color surrounding and composing each circle. It is within this subtle order that Goldenberg’s mastery can be witnessed. Eileen P. Goldenberg is an accomplished artist with solo exhibits beginning in 1992, work featured in national publications and was most recently the recipient of a grant from the San Francisco Arts Commission. |
